Shindico is a Winnipeg based full service commercial real estate organization. We are seeking an experienced full time Maintenance Manager to join our rapidly expanding operations. The Maintenance Manger will be responsible for the management of the luxury residential buildings located at 1010 Taylor Avenue and 1120 Taylor Avenue, in River Heights. Both buildings have 124 high end suites with first class amenities including a resident’s lounge, wellness area, and multipurpose room. The Maintenance Manager will join a team consisting of an onsite Building Manager and onsite cleaners.
The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively deal with tenants along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to work independently and respond quickly to all situations including working within tight deadlines. Previous maintenance or facility management experience is an asset.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Strong emphasis on landscaping and grounds maintenance including but not limited to litter control, sweeping, watering plants, cutting grass, hand shoveling at entrances, weeding, planting annuals, and other duties as assigned
- Perform interior maintenance tasks and respond to work order repairs as directed including but not limited to painting, fixing drywall, hanging TVs, clearing drains, minor pluming and minor electrical
- Perform daily walk throughs of both properties
- On-call rotation, respond to emergency after-hours calls
- Daily collection of on floor garbage including emptying into the primary bin
- Ability to change filters on in-suite fan coil units and perform visual inspections
- Common area maintenance (parkade, mechanical rooms, hallway cleaning)
- Assisting onsite cleaners with janitorial items when asked
- Full time position
- Other duties as assigned
