We are currently seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team in the role of Property Analyst, with potential for growth. Working within a team of Property Managers and Analysts, and reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for key functions supporting our asset management portfolio.
The Property Analyst is involved in assisting with rent collection, year-end reconciliations for commercial tenants, and for the preparation and distribution of monthly financial and portfolio wide reports. Future tasks will include a wide array of property management functions.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Post-secondary degree or college certification in any subject area preferred, or equivalent experience or education in the property management industry
- 1-2 years administration experience; excellent ability to organize information electronically and follow rigorous filing systems and naming methodologies
- Proficient with Office365, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
- Basic accounting knowledge to assist with year-end reconciliations, tenant rent schedules and basic understanding of rental terms for both residential and commercial tenants
- Yardi experience is an asset
- Real estate/contractor/trade experience preferred
- Able to learn new software and complex procedures
- Maintain an organized work environment with strong attention to detail and effective time management
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, oral and written, both internally and externally
- Work in a team in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to continuously learn and upgrade skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages and tracks receivables for commercial and residential tenants
- Tracks critical timelines such as, insurance certificates for vendors and tenants, annual payments, budgets, reconciliations
