40 Years of Succeeding By Helping Others Succeed

WINNIPEG, MANITOBA – In the year 1975, the population of the world was 4.066 billion, the technology giant “Microsoft” was founded, the greatest boxing match of the 20th century took place between Muhammed Ali and Joe Frazier, Stephen Spielberg’s “Jaws” was released, the Vietnam War came to an end, and most importantly, it was the year that Shindico was born. We are proud to be celebrating our 40th anniversary. We have enjoyed stellar growth over the years and are looking forward to many more with continued success for both ourselves and our clients.

The Shindleman family started in the livestock, grocery, meat packing, and farming industries. After acquiring some small commercial properties, Sandy Shindleman quickly realized that this was where his passion lay. Sandy’s brother, Robert Shindleman, joined the team and from there Shindico has grown to its leading place in the commercial real estate industry.

Succeeding by Helping Others Succeed has been Shindico’s mission since our formation. Growing up in Portage la Prairie, Sandy and Robert Shindleman learned the importance of providing excellent service to others. Shindico’s mission statement was born as a result of everything the Shindleman family did, whether it was their role in the grocery, livestock, or food processing industries. Our mission statement is continually applied to each project and transaction.

We are very proud of our team of professionals skilled in all areas of the commercial real estate industry, including: brokerage, development, tenant representation, asset management, and property management. We have developed over 8 million square feet, with 6 million square feet in the pipeline. Our management portfolio covers all asset classes: mixed-use, retail, multi-residential, office, industrial, agricultural, and storage.

Since 2005, Shindico’s corporate headquarters located at 1355 Taylor Avenue has been a shining example of our dedication to the community and the environment. Developed to LEED standards our office is both “smart” and “green” which has resulted in a significant reduction in operating costs and improved employee health, well-being, and productivity.
