What should everyone know about Property Management?

The best way to learn is to teach. I have been teaching for the CCIM Institute for 35 years, and it has accelerated my knowledge of commercial real estate more than I ever could have imagined. In this time, I have witnessed the non-existence of commercial real estate (CRE) education, and seen what CRE education has grown to. As a CCIM instructor, I have had the opportunity to travel around the world, and the chance to spend time with incredible colleagues and students.

I was given the topic of “Why Collaboration is Critical in the Commercial Real Estate World” and I really had no idea where to start. Yes I know that collaboration is a positive thing – I love when my peers willingly give me their notes for financial accounting that they spent all semester slaving over while I binge watched Keeping Up With the Kardashians – but collaboration specifically in the CRE world? No clue.
